Who Am I?
I suppose it might be worthwhile explaining who I am, as you’ll be reading more articles written by me. My name is Rebecca and I met Aidis Trust at an event in Birmingham this year. Aidis asked if I’d like to write for their blog and so here I am!
I recently read an article published in The Guardian Online called How The Internet Still Fails Disabled People. I decided to write a blog about all things online, and whether I agree that the Internet is indeed failing to meet the needs of those of us with disabilities.
I’ve always loved art, which is often a surprising fact for people to learn about me. Being visually impaired, a lot of people wonder how I manage to enjoy something that is such a visual form of expression. I decided to write a blog about how I use technology and my own methods to get the most out of art.
I recently got a new iPad Mini as my birthday present (thanks Mum!). I thought I’d write a blog about how I use the iPad, how I access Apps and what it helps me to do that I couldn’t do before.
